Materials Needed:
- You
- A few tennis balls or a couple of cans of tennis balls
- A tennis racket
- A tennis court
Step 1. Racket Grip: This is probably the most essential part of a serve. Grab the racket as if you are going to shake hands with it, and then extend your index finger out a little bit.
Step 3. Ball Toss: The ball should be thrown about four or five feet above your head at a three o' clock positioning. If you throw it up and do not hit it it should land about a foot in front of you.

Step 4. Making Contact: Once the ball is thrown, you should begin to move your racket back. As the ball is about to come down you should slide your back foot towards your front foot and jump slightly towards the ball. Right as the ball has reached its highest point and begins to fall, you should extend your arm completely up and hit the ball with as much force as you can, but remaining under control.

Step 5. Follow Through: After hitting the ball into the court, the racket will come across your chest toward your back and you will end up about a foot or two into the court. Then you should get ready to return the ball by stepping a foot behind the baseline and get ready.
Step 6. Putting It All Together: After putting all the above steps together, you will have a killer serve and win matches.
